Welcome to the neighborhood! As you already know, Nyborg Estates has a homeowner’s association (HOA) and the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is the body that oversees the architectural and landscaping guidelines of our CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions). The ARC members are volunteers who are approved by the HOA Board to ensure that the neighborhood continues to be maintained within the highest standards possible.
What’s most important is that you know that some modifications to your home require pre-approval from the ARC/HOA Board before your project begins. The ARC provides guidance and forms as you contemplate the following improvements to your front exterior:
Exterior paint (even if painting the same color) or siding
New roof and gutters
New front, garage and screen doors
New windows
Front landscaping projects
Driveway and walkway improvements
Solar panels or exterior EV equipment
Street tree pruning (oak trees lining the sidewalk)
Tree/shrub pruning in shared open spaces
If you plan to make improvements, we recommend that you reach out to any of the ARC members for assistance so that we can complete the required forms with you and provide guidance so as not to delay the project. For example, if you plan to paint, we have sample color palates that will match your roof, trim, garage door and keep within the natural surroundings of our neighborhood. We want to allow sufficient time for you to provide samples before final approval is given.
Our goal is to make the process enjoyable, while following the HOA rules and ensuring our neighborhood continues to meet high standards of value, compliance and safety.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact any the ARC members: arc[at]nyborgestates.org
